The DRFortress solutions are designed to give your business choice of connectivity to multiple providers while providing you with the security, redundancy and capacity needed to scale your business. Your company has access to virtually any service provider in the Hawaii market and internationally. Outsourcing the maintenance, operation, and management of these complex facilities enables you to reap the benefits of a world-class infrastructure with little investment of capital and manpower.
DRFortress' colocation solutions are designed to host, connect and protect the most critical information-driven business operations. The datacenter is designed, built and maintained to prevent "single points of failure" that can reduce availability of your IT infrastructure and systems. DRFortress deploys state-of-the-art power management, HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning), fire suppression, security and infrastructure monitoring systems to ensure operational reliability and protection of your mission-critical IT systems.
DRFortress offers customizable ¼, ½ and full-size high quality, steel frame industry standards compliant cabinets with fully ventilated doors, side panels and combination locks to ensure security. Power and cross connections can be customized to meet your specific needs and are sold separately.
Cabinets can be customized with AC or DC power circuits, designed with a variety of voltage and amperage selections, to suit customers’ specific requirements. Our facility engineers will assist with the cabinet configuration, placement and racking solutions to accommodate your specific power usage and heat dissipation requirements.
Custom cages are available for customers with special rack/cabinet requirements, large amount of custom-sized equipment/work stations, or security compliance requirements. Customized 10-gauge wire woven cages can be built to your specifications in any combination of square footage, power, rack specifications and security access.
Power consumption management has become critical for businesses as server power densities have increased up to 10 times in the last 10 years. With this rapidly increasing growth in power requirements, DRFortress has designed all facets of its power and cooling systems to handle high-power deployments.
The DRFortress power management systems are fully built with N+1 redundancy with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, state-of-the-art switchgear technology, and multiple backup generators.
DRFortress supports both redundant AC and DC power using parallel flywheel UPS systems that are built on a multi-level N+1 configuration to achieve 99.9999% uptime. Power is supplied by power distribution unit (PDU) systems, and each PDU is connected to two separate UPS systems.
Switchgear systems are designed with redundant comprehensive monitoring and management controllers which handle a primary and protect power feed of two separate transformers for advanced emergency power loss management.
Multiple 1 megawatt generators are also deployed in N+1 configuration with start-of-the-art technology to handle facility maintenance and emergency power loss management. Power generation systems are supported with several days of emergency on-site diesel fuel and industry best practices maintenance programs.
The DRFortress mechanical cooling and HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning) systems ensure environmental integrity for all colocation and equipment areas. The cooling systems are designed, built and maintained to provide optimized temperature, humidity, and airflow that will accommodate high-power consumption requirements and demanding equipment operations.
DRFortress’ CRAC units are deployed in an N+1 configuration throughout the facility to support hot-cold isle design and optimal infrastructure conditions with facility humidity controlled at 50% +/- 20% and temperature maintained at 22 Degrees C (71.6 Fahrenheit) +/-3 Deg in the colocation/technical spaces and all electrical plant rooms.
DRFortress deploys comprehensive fire detection and suppression systems to protect customers’ critical IT systems. The facility is fitted with an advanced FM200 system in conjunction with the dry-pipe pre-action water sprinklers and heat-zoned fire alarm systems. All systems are deployed in zones for maximum safety, protection against fire, and ability to quickly extinguish any fire in the most effective manner.
DRFortress provides multi-layered security systems and processes to ensure security and protection of our customers’ physical equipment and data. 24x7x365 on-site security officers monitor access into the facility for authorized customer representatives. Other security layers deployed include IRIS recognition system, scramble pad access systems, and facility-wide 24x365 CCTV surveillance with 90 days off-site video retention.
