DRFortress Kicks Off Diverse Paths Initiative with Kailua Beach Clean Up

DRFortress team members recently partnered with Honolulu Parks and Recreation to adopt and clean up Kailua Beach as part of the data center’s new Diverse Paths program. The data center staff launched this initiative with a dual mission to support educational and networking events focused on IT and technology as well as participate in community service and events to support local businesses.

The Diverse Paths name for this new community outreach program represents DRFortress’ commitment to providing customers choice or “diversity” and multiple redundant connectivity options “paths” to support their IT infrastructure and networking requirements.

As a popular destination for both visitors and Hawaii residents, Kailua Beach is a short drive over the mountains on the scenic Pali Highway from Waikiki and it is a favorite spot for many of the DRFortress data center staff to relax and enjoy time with their families during the weekend.

DRFortress chose a beach clean-up as the initial event to kick off the Diverse Paths program as it is a safe way to serve the community yet follow current local pandemic mandate limits for outdoor social gatherings.

The Kailua Beach cleanup is the first of many events that DRFortress plans to sponsor to demonstrate its commitment to Hawaii and its business and technology communities. To empower Hawaii’s digital economy, the program will also offer and sponsor tech forums, local sports, community events, and educational webinars for its clients and Hawaii businesses on various IT best practices including IT and data center infrastructures, cyber and physical security for technology, cloud computing and Internet networking and connectivity solutions and more.

“The Diverse Paths program signifies our dedication to community involvement, employee empowerment and technology education and follows the company’s core values of consideration, integrity and improvement,” said Rosa White, DRFortress Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer. “We’re especially excited about the program partnerships we’re forming with the business, community, and technology leaders to make Hawaii a better place to live, visit, work and play.”

In addition to offering future Diverse Paths team initiatives, DRFortress also encourages employees with paid time off to volunteer their time individually during regular business hours for community outreach programs.
