We are pleased to announce that Rosa White, DRFortress’ Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder has been named one of the 20 Women to Watch in 2021 by Capacity Magazine.
This annual global recognition celebrates 20 women who are great leaders in the wholesale modern telecommunications sector achieving massive results in their respective fields and breaking down barriers across the space.
Rosa co-founded DRFortress in 2006. Her effective leadership skills have been a key driving force in growing the Honolulu, Hawaii data center to more than 10x in revenue, space, and power capacity. Today, DRFortress is one of the most highly respected data center infrastructures in the U.S. and the largest carrier-neutral data center and cloud marketplace operating in Hawaii.
Over the past year, Rosa completed a significant equity investment transaction with GI Partners, which enabled DRFortress to expand its deep portfolio of public cloud services and data center services to businesses in Hawaii. Most recently, Rosa led the budgeting and financing for the company’s third data center facility expansion that was completed in April 2021. This expansion added 125 cabinets, creating a total of 600 cabinets for lease and a space of more than 55,000 square feet. The buildout makes DRFortress an even more effective leader in energy efficiency by providing exponentially more immediately available space, power supply, and environmental controls than any other local supplier.
Rosa serves as CFO, oversees sales and marketing, and is a member of the DRFortress Board of Directors. She views the company from a high-level perspective as she structures annual budgets, formulates strategies, and analyzes M&A opportunities all while managing day-to-day operations.
In addition, Rosa manages human resources for DRFortress and has doubled the sales team in the last year. DRFortress’ sales team focuses on meeting clients’ needs with the industry-leading customized cloud and IT solutions to support Hawaii businesses. She also fosters Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and provides employees with training and growth opportunities within the company.
Rosa has also created a top-notch business culture. She treats the DRFortress employees and team as an extended “Ohana”, which is the word for “family” in Hawaiian.
